Commercial Construction Drywall Estimator

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Drywall Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating drywall costs for projects valued at $1M and above, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness in our bids. This role is crucial for maintaining profitability and supporting our project management efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for drywall projects over $1M
Analyze project blueprints and specifications to determine labor, material, and time requirements
Collaborate with project managers and contractors to gather necessary information for bids
Prepare and submit detailed bids and proposals to clients
Conduct cost analysis and maintain an updated database of materials and subcontractor pricing
Assist in project scheduling and resource allocation to optimize project workflow
Review contracts and ensure compliance with construction regulations
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project success
Negotiate terms with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing
Participate in team collaboration to enhance estimating processes and improve efficiency

Qualifications

Proven experience as a drywall estimator in commercial construction
Strong knowledge of drywall installation and materials
Excellent skills in cost analysis and budget management
Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings
Experience with project management and scheduling
Familiarity with bid preparation and contract negotiation
Strong understanding of construction regulations and safety standards
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
