The Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Litigation Associate with 3+ years of experience to join our Litigation Department. This role offers the chance to work on sophisticated, high-stakes cases, take on front-line strategic responsibilities, and collaborate with seasoned attorneys to deliver outstanding results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Take and defend depositions, leveraging strong analytical and interpersonal skills to advance case strategies.
  • Argue motions and represent clients in court hearings, demonstrating persuasive advocacy.
  • Develop case strategies in collaboration with partners, assuming a leadership role in case management.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda to support complex litigation matters.
  • Engage in client communications, providing clear, actionable advice to achieve client objectives.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, and alternative dispute resolution processes.
  • Mentor junior associates and contribute to the firm's collaborative, team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of litigation experience at a law firm, with a proven track record in managing complex cases.
  • Demonstrated experience taking and defending depositions and arguing motions in state and/or federal court.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to assume front-line responsibilities on cases.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused mindset.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in the California Bar.
  • Prior experience in entertainment, intellectual property, or business litigation is a plus but not required.
