Senior Counsel/Partner - Tax Law

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Counsel/Partner specializing in Tax Law to join our prestigious legal firm. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal counsel on a wide range of tax-related issues, represent clients in litigation, and guide them through tax audits. This role requires a deep understanding of both business and criminal tax law, as well as the ability to lead and mentor junior attorneys.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic legal advice on tax planning and compliance for various businesses.
Represent clients in tax-related litigation and disputes before administrative bodies and courts.
Assist clients during tax audits, ensuring their rights are protected and obligations are met.
Draft legal documents, including briefs, motions, and settlement agreements related to tax matters.
Conduct thorough legal research on tax law developments and their implications for clients.
Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and staff in tax law best practices.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service and communication.

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Book of business is preferred
Active bar membership in relevant jurisdictions.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in tax law, with a focus on business and criminal tax law.
Proven track record of successfully handling tax litigation and audits.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
